I made one of my famous cakes tonight for a co-worker who won it in a charity auction our office had several weeks ago. He told me he was going to serve it at a 4th of July party...so I decorated it up a lot more than usual.
It's so easy it shames me to tell anyone how I do it.
It's a devils food cake mix, three 9 inch layers. I spread Polaner's all fruit seedless raspberry jam between the layers and frost with a rich choclate frosting. For this cake I added red, white and blue confetti and nonpareils.

This is really adorable and although you say it was shamelessly easy, it shows that you put your best effort into it. I really hope your co-worker enjoys it, it looks delicious!!
